This is wild fireweed the State Flower the old saying is

 when the flower gets to the top its

 time to haul ass because winter is here.

It also makes good jelly

I am still not in there fishing

 and the pic is a little out of focus 

Lots of fish here in Ship Creek

There is Pinks and Silver Salmon in there

can't fish this for up the Creek
Will be leaving Anchorage for Soldotna
 tomorrow the 7th will be there
for 4 nights hope the fishing is good there
